COMPETITIONS!
Not a competition but a chance to use your creative skills as part of our special Family Service on 18th Dec 2011.
We are going to be creating a Jesse Tree (a bit like a cross between an Advent Calendar and a Christmas Tree!).
The Jesse Tree displays at least 25 symbols telling God's Big Story from Creation to Jesus.
We join with everyone on Jesus' family tree, all the way down through history
in looking forward with great excitement to Emmanuel coming among us.
Each of the symbols for the Jesse Tree will be made from a decorated square of cloth and hung with ribbon on the tree.
You can decorate the square however you like - fabric pens, felt pens, collaging other fabrics, embroidery, anything else you can think of that will work on a polycotton square. You could take a square to do individually or work on one with your family/friends/a group that you are part of.
If you would like a square please contact Ellie - she will be giving out the squares with instructions at church on Sunday 27th November.
Your square will be an important part of the 10am service on Sunday 18th December so please make sure that you can attend that service or arrange to send your square with someone else on that day - it is important that we have all 25.

Your next chance to take part in a Girls Dance Workshop is coming up VERY SOON!!
Saturday 5th November (remember, remember!!)
2:30-4:30pm in the Church
All Girls aged 5 and above are welcome to attend - you don't need to have done any dancing before
put the date in your diaries now and get in touch with Ellie to let her know you are coming!

11am-1pm - Our young chefs will create a 3 course feast of Christmas themed food
5:30-7:30pm - Chefs return with their families to enjoy the food they've prepared in a special Christmas Feast!
PLEASE BOOK YOUR PLACES WELL IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
You can register your 'little chefs' and book places for guests at the evening meal by calling the Church Office 01628 533004 or emailing Debbie
Please mention when booking any allergies/intolerances or other special needs
that your children or any evening guests have so that we can cater accordingly.
There is no admission price for this event but donations are welcomed in the evening if you have enjoyed your dinner :)
