Flackwell Heath Community Pantry

In November 2022 we launched the Flackwell Heath Community Pantry. We believe no one should go hungry, and want to be able to support those in our village who need help with food.

Open every Thursday from 8.30am-10.30am. No referral or appointment is needed - simply turn up. It is self-serve so you can decide what you need.

A list of regular and urgently needed items is updated on this page. You can also use the form below to contact the Pantry Team, and scroll down to find out more about the people behind the Pantry.

Meet the Pantry Team

  • Keely Hammond

I’ve lived in Flackwell Heath for 22 years and enjoyed being active in community events. Supporting our neighbours during the pandemic highlighted what a wonderful supportive network we have in the village. There are still many in need in the village and the cost of living crisis is affecting village families right now - across all demographics. I’m delighted to be a part of the team set up to help meet this need.

  • Debbie Fox-Webb

I'm Debbie Fox-Webb, and I'm one of the lay ministers here at Christ Church. I am so pleased to be part of the team that is helping with the Community Pantry. I am the Community Pantry Chaplain. This involves being there for our guests, if they need a listening ear, or possibly help with filling out forms, advice or just someone to have a chat and a coffee with. We aim to not only help people practically with food, but also to help the whole person, and if anyone ever asks to receive prayer, then we are happy to offer that too.

  • Sue Fowler

I have lived in Flackwell Heath for 17 years and have always thought what a brilliant community it is. Being the youngest of nine children my mother always struggled to make ends meet. that's why I think the community pantry is a wonderful idea. So please do come along on a Wednesday morning and get some food, you will always be greeted with a smile and maybe you would like to stick around for a cup coffee.
