Prayer at Christ Church

Prayer is at the heart of all we do at Christ Church. We believe in a God who hears our prayers and who is working in our lives, and that through prayer, we can hear from God and understand his call on our lives.

There are lots of ways you can join with us in prayer:

Prayer ministry
Prayer ministry is offered at the end of all our 10.30am services, and on the third Sunday of the month at the 9am along with anointing with oil.

Rotunda Prayer: Monday-Friday, 9.30am-10am at Christ Church
Join a small group to pray for the needs of our church family.

Prayer for Everyone: First Sunday of the month, 6.30pm-7.30pm at Christ Church
Our church family prayer meeting takes place on the first Sunday of every month, and everyone is invited to join us as we pray for ourselves, our church, our community, and our world.

Upper Room prayer space at Christ Church
There is a permanent prayer space in the Upper Room at church, which anyone is welcome to spend time in. Please contact the office on admin@ccfh.org.uk if you want to use the space outside our usual opening times.

Prayer weeks
We hold regular prayer weeks throughout the year.

Our next prayer room will be in the Upper Room at church for the whole of Lent, from Ash Wednesday (14th February) to Easter Sunday (31 March), and is open to anyone. The room is themed ‘Gardens of Scripture’ and will support the Lent preaching series at Christ Church Flackwell Heath.

Our prayer room provides space for simply waiting on God and for prayer. There will be areas for confession, for worship and praise, for lament, for intercession and more.

For further information, and to find out how to book time in the prayer room, email prayer@ccfh.org.uk.
